Motor City Sketch Christmas Spectacular!

It's that time of year again. When artistic people get together and draw while getting all "holly & jolly" in the month of December. Come on down to the River's Edge Gallery in beautiful downtown Wyandotte and celebrate the holiday season with friends, co-workers and casual acquaintances.

This year's party will be catered by Jay Ray's BBQ. A plate of the most amazing BBQ meal you've ever had will only run you $10. Beer and soda will be provided courtesy of Motor City Sketch. Please be sure to RSVP to this event so we can make sure there will be enough food and drink for all.

Box Bar!

Hello all, our next meet up will be in Plymouth. We are trying a new place this time around and will be nearer to some of the peeps who continuously travel to our side of town. So, we expect to see a lot of you this time around! We will be meeting at the Box Bar in Plymouth (details below) on Sunday at 5pm, so bring out those sketchbooks, although with this being at a bar, I'm guessing that not a lot of drawing will be done, but who knows....

John's Barbeeque

Our August meet up will be back down river in the fine city of Wyandotte. Longtime member John Marroquin has graciously offered to host us at his house for a BBQ. Beef and chicken fajitas, homemade beans and rice, salsa, and pico de gayo will be provided, but be sure to bring a plate of something to pass around. And beverages would be nice, as well.

So, bring your sketchbook and some grub and hang out with the rest of us outcasts.

Return To Rainy Day!

Our July get together will find us back at Rainy Day Art Supplies. Kelly and crew have been very good to us and wanted to host another night of sketching, gab and all the usual BS. So, our next meet up will be at the Motor City Art Studio in Sterling Heights. I believe that this is more of a classroom setting so bring your own beverages and/or food stuff.
